The premises are excellent, but the use is not intuitive, there are no tooltips on each button to understand the function, the option to search for broken urls cannot be found, the initial URL scanner is too slow, there are no counters, it also doesn't warn if a site is already present, but only the icon changes color, useless because it's based on the Chrome address bar.

I am a guy with roughly 12k bookmarks. I always like to save and categories my sources of information or things of interest on a particular topic whenever it's technical , abstract , or just interesting. I don't trust the longevity of alternative cloud based solutions like Raindrop , and I don't have the time and energy to self-host my own Bookmarks as with Linkwarden. All I wanted was just a nice-looking , local-first viewport thing , with the ability to add tags. This app is very much delivered what I wanted , displaying bookmarks visually with thumbnails , having a tag system, and having a purview option without opening the website. Importing was slow and took 2 hours or so and a few refreshes , but once it finishes , it's beautiful and looks useful. Though , it doesn't work well with some bookmarks , particularly a few ones from Reddit and Google Books , of which I had hover over the block , and look at the bottom left textbox to show the full link so I can identify the block's link. This sometimes annoys me. The alternative system of turning folders into selectable collections that operate like filters is a genial idea , but people should be aware that when selecting a collection that used to be a master folder (Folder containing only subfolders) in the default Chrome bookmark : it will return no results , as selecting a collection can only returns links. This is going to involve a letting go of thinking in hierarchies and order of folders , or instead memorizing them to know the exact collection that needs to be selected. Overall , I highly recommend this extension . In fact , from the plenty of ones I personally tried like Bookee , this is pretty much the only app that is local-first and handles so many bookmarks quite well and I really don't know why it doesn't rank well in the search results here compared to GitHub. If all what somebody wants is simply a visual way to represent their Chrome bookmarks : this is definitely a top choice they need to try out.

Preview Page feature did not work all of my bookmarks. I will keep it. It is promising.
