Download with FlashGet

when activated, interrupts the built-in download manager to direct links to FlashGet

The "Download with FlashGet" Chrome extension integrates the powerful FlashGet download manager directly into your browser. When activated, it intercepts the browser's built-in download process and redirects downloads to FlashGet for efficient and accelerated management.

Users can toggle the extension via its toolbar icon; when enabled, it monitors downloads and automatically directs them to FlashGet, cancelling native downloads. Additionally, users can right-click on links to send them directly to FlashGet without activating the observer. Note that FlashGet versions 1.7 or 1.9 are required for compatibility, and a small native client must be installed for communication between the extension and FlashGet. This extension enhances download control for users who prefer FlashGet's advanced features over the browser's default downloader.

Extension safety

Risk impact

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Download with FlashGet requires very minimum permissions.
