The routes you've traveled and the photos you've taken are compiled into a single album. Your cycling, running, walking, driving, touring, and travel routes are automatically recorded using GPS, allowing you to review them alongside a map.
RouteLog — A complete record of your day.
Can you name the road you enjoyed the most last autumn?
It's still in your photo folder. The ocean view from the mountain pass, the cola you drank from the vending machine while sweating profusely. But how you ran between that photo and this one? Which corner you got lost at, where you stopped? That's no longer recorded anywhere.
Photos only capture "points." RouteLog captures the "lines" connecting those points—in other words, your entire day.
■ One tap, and forget the rest.
Cycling, running, walking, touring, driving. Choose from five modes, press start, and put your smartphone in your pocket. Distance, time, average speed, maximum speed, elevation gain, and even calories burned based on your activity—the app counts everything else.
If you stop at a traffic light or take a break, the measurement automatically stops. It automatically resumes when you start moving again. "I forgot to press pause, and a 30-minute break was included in the time"—that little disappointment will never happen again.
■ Leaving behind "This was nice" moments
A view that made you stop for a moment. A mountain pass you reached after a breathless climb. A quiet alley you wandered into. A beautiful flower whose name you don't even know.
With a single button, you can place a pin with a comment wherever you are standing. The camera also activates. You can take as many photos as you like in one location. The app automatically looks up and adds the place name, so you don't even need to think, "Where did I take this?"
By the time you return, your route for that day and the reasons you stopped will be lined up on the map in chronological order.
■ Relive that day
This may be an experience unlike any other recording app.
If you go outside with your saved record open, your current location on the map will continue to move. In other words, you can retrace the path you cycled last autumn on foot this year. The ability to open the photos you took at that moment, right in the place where they were taken.
Records are not only something to look at, but also a reason to travel again.
■ A day of travel becomes a map
The path you walked through an unfamiliar city becomes a map of your trip. Getting lost in an alley whose name you don't know. Waiting in line. Reaching an observation deck just before sunset.
If you leave photos and comments at tourist spots, you can look back on "where and what you saw today" as if you were retracing your steps on a map. You can choose from standard, terrain, and cycling maps, so you can see the gradient of mountain paths and the terrain of your travel destination at a glance.
■ Never letting "the record wasn't taken" happen
This was something we couldn't compromise on.
Positioning continues even when the screen is off or you're using other apps. Even if the app crashes, the record survives, and you can resume from where you left off the next time you open it. It intelligently eliminates the fluctuations and jumps inherent in GPS, so you won't see distance increases even when you're stationary, or a jagged, erratic track.
You'll never have to worry about running all day, arriving home, and finding your record empty.
■ When you're thirsty, find it on the map
Convenience stores, vending machines, supermarkets, drugstores, kiosks, roadside rest areas. You can instantly search from the area currently visible on the map. This will help you overcome those "I'm running out of water for the next 5km" moments in summer, and the anxiety of being alone in unfamiliar travel destinations. You can freely select your search targets in the settings.
Before you depart, you can check the weather (temperature and probability of precipitation) one hour in advance on the home screen. You can decide to turn back before it starts raining.
■ Consistency pays off
Your history is neatly organized by year and month, and the total distance for each month and year is automatically tallied. How did you compare to last month? Have you already surpassed your record from last year? The numbers quietly encourage you. As you continue your activities, you'll earn badges at milestones. And once you earn these badges, they never disappear. Even if you organize your history, the facts you've accumulated will remain.
■ And one day, they'll become tangible memories.
RouteLog is an app you don't want to just record and forget.
From a single record, you can create a two-page spread image. The left page displays a map, statistics, and elevation graph, while the right page lists the places you visited and photos. That two-page spread you see when you open an album becomes a single image. You're free to save it to your device, post it on social media, or send it to your family.
And now, we're preparing a service to print this spread on actual paper and bind it into a book. Long-distance tours, once-in-a-lifetime trips, days spent riding with loved ones—you can keep them not just on your smartphone, but in a tangible form on your bookshelf.
*Currently under preparation. You can try out the finished image and pricing within the app right now, but please wait a little longer before we begin accepting orders. We will announce the launch with an app update. ■ Share Your Records
You can send your daily records, including photos, as a single file via LINE or email. If the recipient is using RouteLog, they can easily add it to their own history. You can share not just photos, but "the day itself" with fellow riders who rode the same route.
■ Battery and Data Conservation Included
Map tiles are saved on your device, so you don't need to re-download locations you've already viewed. The positioning interval is automatically slowed while stopped to conserve battery. Dark mode is also supported for night rides.
■ For Those Who:
・Cyclists and runners who want to meticulously record their training
・Those who want to accumulate small discoveries found during walks on a map
・Those who want to record mountain passes and scenic views along the way during tours or drives
・Those who want to preserve travel memories with photos on a map and one day create a tangible record
・Those who ride long distances and want to secure water points along the way
The road you're riding now will one day become "the road of that day."
RouteLog will hold onto it for that day.
