Sunset Coast

Sunset Coast is a warm, breezy one-thumb colour-hop arcade game set on a tropical seaside at dusk.

A glowing orb floats at the foot of a sunlit shore where slowly turning rings rise toward the setting sun. Every ring is split into four warm coast colours -- coral, gold, turquoise and magenta -- and they keep spinning in the sea breeze. Tap anywhere to drift the orb upward; the pull of the tide brings it back down, so keep tapping to climb toward the glow on the horizon. The twist: the orb is one of those four colours, and it can only slip up through the arc of a ring that matches it. Hover just beneath a ring, read the spin, wait for your colour to swing into your path, then drift cleanly through the gap. Brush a wrong colour and you lose a heart.

Clear a ring and the orb instantly recolours -- one moment you are coral, the next turquoise -- so you have to read your new colour and re-plan on the fly. Golden shells wash up between some rings; drift through them for bonus points and a higher run score. Work your way up ten hand-tuned shores that spin faster, reverse direction and pack the rings closer together the deeper into the dusk you go, and chase a new best score on every one.
