Deep Dive

Deep Dive is a calm, one-thumb underwater colour-hop arcade game.

A glowing bubble drifts at the bottom of a sunken column of slowly spinning rings, deep in the blue. Every ring is split into four dive colours -- aqua, sun, coral and sky -- and they turn endlessly in the current. Tap anywhere to send the bubble rising; the weight of the deep pulls it back down, so keep tapping to climb toward the surface light. The twist: the bubble is one of those four colours, and it can only slip up through the arc of a ring that matches it. Hover just beneath a ring, read the spin, wait for your colour to swing into your path, then rise clean through the gap. Touch the wrong colour and you lose a heart.

Clear a ring and the bubble instantly recolours at random -- one moment you are aqua, the next coral -- so you have to read your new colour and re-plan on the fly. Gold stars drift between some rings; rise through them for bonus points and a higher dive score. Work your way up through ten hand-tuned depths that spin faster, reverse direction and stack the rings closer together the deeper you go, and chase a new best score on every one.
