Welcome to RMWB Transit On Demand. We're your affordable, shared ride service that will provide convenient connections to regular transit service and specialized pre-booked rides for eligible riders.

RMWB Transit On Demand service is available 7 days a week to connect certain areas of Fort McMurray to regular transit routes. This service is operated by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in partnership with Via Transportation.

Transit On Demand is a shared-ride service connecting passengers with destinations within their community or regular transit routes. It does not operate on a regular route or schedule.

How do I book RMWB Transit On Demand?
You can book a ride on an accessible on demand bus by using this app on a smartphone, visiting the website rmwb.ca/OnDemand or calling 780-743-7000.

How do I get started?
Start by downloading the RMWB Transit On Demand app, then create an account using only your name, phone number and email address. Confirm your pick-up location and input your destination to see the ride options. Then, book your ride and track it in real time.

How long will I wait?
It depends on your trip and the time of day. Wait times will be less than 30 minutes during peak times and less than 60 minutes during off peak times. An accurate estimate of your wait time will be provided before you book your trip. You will be able to track the vehicle location in real-time using the RMWB Transit On Demand app.

What else is helpful to know?
If you use a wheelchair or other mobility device, have a child stroller or need access to a built-in child safety seat, it’s important to put that in your RMWB Transit On Demand booking or mention it to the representative on the phone. That way, we can ensure a spot is available for you.
