POLAR H10 ECG Zen

The Polar Heart Mood app uses the POLAR H10 heart rate monitor to determine your stress or mediation status . The brain and heart are connected and interact through the autonomic nervous system. Therefore the emotional state has an influence on the heart rate, which can be detected via an electrocardiogram (ECG). Certain characteristics of an ECG, in particular variations in the heart rate, are linked to the emotional state of an individual and in particular to a state of stress (low variations) or on the contrary to a meditation state (high variations). The POLAR H10's bluetooth connection allows you to record the ECG in real time as well as the heart rate on your Android device.
The ECG signal is processed using a convolutional neural network to detect certain fine characteristics of the signal. This convolutional neural network carries out the morphological analysis of the signal and also processes certain properties related to heart rate variations.
The detection of the emotional state is done in real time in the application as well as the monitoring of the heart rate. You can therefore control for example the result of a meditation session.
There is no time limit in using the app which can run for hours in the background on your phone allowing continuous monitoring of your heart rate and emotional state. It is also possible to analyze ECG signals already stored on your device. These are saved in real time in the Documents folder of the Android device.
When launching the application for the first time, please indicate the ID of the Polar H10 (written on the edge of the sensor) then restart the application.
