Users appreciate PanicShield largely for its simple, customizable guided breathing exercises that effectively aid in calming panic attacks and managing overwhelming emotions. The app's quick accessibility and ability to be personalized are also noted as strong points. However, some users report that the breathing exercises can sometimes worsen symptoms like hyperventilation, and others find the exposure therapy features unhelpful. Concerns about user interface design and effectiveness compared to other apps were mentioned, but overall, the app is regarded as a valuable and recommended tool for panic attack aid.

The breathe circle is the best technique I've used that calms me down when having full blown panic attacks. Very useful app if you suffer panic attacks.

Really helps when I start to feel overwhelmed with emotions. Good for if you're going through something emotionally taxing, or if you just need to take a break when you're out and about and it gets a bit too noisy

The simple circle for guided breathing is good and being able to get to that part of the app quickly is important. No one wants a complicated or long setup process when they are on the verge of an anxiety or panic attack. Other apps add extra features that are fine for yoga or w/e but utterly ridiculous when you really need it. Anyway good app, it's one of the 1st apps I put on all my devices. Ahh, also I like being able to pre set your own color choice. Strongly recommended.

Bad UI and the exposure parts are unhelpful my therapist actually warned me, as this is like taking a pill. There was better Apps that help me much more and for a longer period!

This is a joke. The one and only app that helps me through panic attacks as well as overcome them is Rootd.
