Jetpack Slinger: Swing & Climb

Climb or fall.

You get one jetpack burn to get off the ground. After that, altitude is something you have to steal.

Hold anywhere to throw a tether at the nearest pole. Swing. Let go at the top of the arc and you fire off in whatever direction you were already going — that's the whole game. Release early and you waste the swing. Release late and gravity has already taken it back.

Your thrust drains the entire time you're in the air. When the bar at the bottom hits zero you stop climbing and start dropping, and the only thing that saves you is catching another pole on the way down.

HOW IT'S BUILT

Vanilla JavaScript and one canvas — no engine, no asset files. Every sound and every pixel is generated in code, which is why the whole game is 22 KB and starts instantly.
