Clipstand

Clipstand is a simple music rehearsal log designed for amateur bands, small ensembles, and choir members who want to track run-throughs without interrupting the flow of practice. Each run is saved as a small sticky rehearsal flag pinned to a conductor’s music stand, capturing the piece name, duration in minutes, the section rehearsed, and a brief note. The main Stand tab presents a top-down view of the stand with a short recent strip of the last three runs and two metronome-shaped counters that show runs today and total minutes this week. A quick action button on the Stand tab lets you jump straight into adding a new run-through, so you can capture a take before moving on to the next piece. The Add tab provides a focused form with a piece name field, a duration field, a section selector for full piece, verse, chorus, bridge, or warm-up, and an optional notes area. When you save, the new run immediately becomes a flag on the stand and joins your rehearsal history. The Log tab keeps a reverse-chronological list of every run, making it easy to review what was practiced and when. From the Log or Search results, tapping any run opens its details where you can edit the information or delete the entry if it is no longer needed. The Search tab filters your saved runs by piece name, helping you find every time you worked on a particular song or exercise. Runs are visually distinguished by a colored tip that indicates the section type, with teal for full pieces, amber for section work, and lavender for warm-ups. All of your rehearsal data is stored locally on your device, so your notes remain available offline and private to your group. Clipstand is built for quick, practical logging between pieces, giving you a clear record of what your group has covered and where you left off. It helps you avoid repeating the same notes about tempo, verses, or transitions because those observations are attached to the exact run. By keeping the workflow small and direct, Clipstand supports more focused rehearsals and a better sense of progress over time.
