BUILT FOR INFRARED PHONES

Velmote uses Android's Consumer IR hardware directly. No Wi-Fi pairing, account, or cloud connection is required for remote commands. A built-in IR emitter is required; the app clearly explains when a phone does not include one.

PRIVACY-CONSCIOUS

No account, location permission, contacts, camera, or microphone. Ad consent and privacy choices can be managed inside Settings.

Current code sets include generic NEC, Samsung, and Sony TV controls. Infrared compatibility varies by TV model and phone hardware.
