Introducing TVRemote: Universal TV Remote—a remote control app that turns your phone into a TV remote. Use an IR remote to navigate, change volume, and play/pause; when you need it, add a Bluetooth remote (HID) for typing and touch control—especially handy as an Android TV remote.

Control your TV with your phone’s infrared (IR) blaster. If the TV accepts a Bluetooth remote, optionally pair for a fuller experience. Easy to use: one all‑in‑one smart TV remote instead of a separate brand app for every set.

Aim the IR emitter at the TV for infrared control; Bluetooth needs pairing. This is not a same‑Wi‑Fi smart‑protocol remote and does not cast files or photos to the TV.

### How to use the universal remote:

1. Download the TVRemote remote control app
2. Install and open it
3. Add your TV
4. Choose a brand
5. Aim IR at the TV and match a code set (try Power, etc.)
6. (Optional) Pair Bluetooth for keyboard / touchpad / mouse
7. Done—your phone TV remote is ready

No IR blaster? Skip IR matching and try Bluetooth (waking a fully powered‑off TV may be limited).

### Important notes:

- IR needs a phone with an IR emitter / IR blaster. Aim at the TV’s IR window.
- Without IR, try Bluetooth HID as a phone remote for Android TV or other Bluetooth‑remote TVs.
- No Wi‑Fi smart‑protocol control (unlike some SmartCast / Roku / Fire Stick–style apps) and no file transfer to the TV.
- IR codes are from common mappings—not OEM certification. Try another set, update the catalog, or import your own codes.
