Checkmarks Firefox

Checkmarks

Checks, sorts, formats bookmarks and loads favicons.

Features & Capabilities

Checkmarks is a powerful Chrome extension designed to optimize and manage your bookmarks effectively. It scans your imported or synced bookmarks for invalid entries and loads favicons by opening bookmarks in configurable batches of tabs. This helps in visualizing and organizing bookmarks seamlessly.

With Checkmarks, you can also sort bookmarks and format titles to lowercase for a cleaner look. It provides a detailed list of request errors allowing easy manual review, update, or removal of broken bookmarks. The extension integrates smoothly within the bookmarks/history sidebar for quick access. Note that loading multiple tabs in parallel may consume considerable system resources, and manual deletion of favicon cache may be required to fully clear invalid favicons.

Out of 1300 favourited sites, it ignored 18 and had problems with 915. Overall not very successful but filled in some favicons.
