Features & Capabilities

User Reviews

Users broadly praise the add-on for cleaning bookmarks, especially quickly removing duplicates and cleaning broken links, while noting it is simple to use. However, they report recurring drawbacks: false positives in broken URL detection (including Cloudflare), inconsistent or absent UI, performance slowdowns on large collections, and missing features like export and bulk duplicate controls. It works well for small to medium libraries but reliability and usability gaps limit its usefulness for large libraries.
Pros
  • Efficient cleanup of bookmarks, especially duplicates, with reviewers noting large cleanups (e.g., hundreds of bookmarks) and reduction of clutter.
  • Simple and easy to use, praised for its straightforward behavior across reviews.
  • Scans all bookmarks and helps manage large collections, enabling quick cleanup.
  • Widely regarded as helpful for work and recommended by users.
Cons
  • False positives in broken URL detection (including Cloudflare/anti-bot detectors) leading to incorrect flags.
  • User interface and runability issues: some users report no usable UI or controls and inability to start the extension.
  • Performance problems on very large bookmark sets, with long hangs or delays.
  • Missing features: export of cleaned bookmarks, and limited duplicate management (no select-all or search for duplicates).
Recent reviews
It seems to work great but then I started looking more closely at some of the URLS that were flagged as broken and several of them are fine. At first there was a problem with sites being flagged that pop up the secure site warning and ask for permission to access the http site, so I enabled, "Don't enable HTTPS only mode" in the Firefox settings. However, now I still get perfectly fine links in the list. I noticed some of them have the pop up to accept or edit cookies so does this add-on falsely report sites with this as broken? This add-on is not much good if you still have to manually go through the list of "broken" links it finds to check if they are actually broken.

This extension worked amazingly well on my device, and with about 20 minutes of work, I was able to review and clean up over 350 bookmarks! Over the years, my saved copies had somehow duplicated, and that's just the dupe cleanup. I cleaned up even more broken links, too. Highly recommend this extension, and will use it again in the future!
