Mark&File Firefox

Mark&File

High-performance bookmark manager for large libraries — 100,000+ bookmarks handled effortlessly

Features & Capabilities

Mark&File is a sidebar-based bookmark manager built for people with serious bookmark collections. While Firefox's built-in bookmarking stalls on large libraries, Mark&File stays fast at 100,000+ bookmarks and gives you the keyboard-driven workflow to file pages in seconds.

Quick filing The sidebar shows your pinned folders and recent folders at a glance. Click a folder to bookmark the current page — or never touch the mouse at all. Assign up to 10 folders to keyboard slots (Ctrl+Shift+1–0) and file instantly from any tab.

Quick Sort Mode Turn on Quick Sort and the tab closes automatically after you file a bookmark. Pair it with No Bookmark Mode to also auto-close tabs you've already bookmarked. Work through a queue of open tabs without a second thought.

Undo everything Every create, move, and delete is undoable with a single click or keypress. Reopen restores the last closed tab. Nothing is permanent until you decide it is.

Duplicate finder Find and remove duplicate bookmarks across your entire library. URL normalization strips tracking parameters before comparing, so example.com/page?utm_source=twitter and example.com/page are correctly identified as the same page.

Duplicate tab detection Scan the current window or all windows for duplicate tabs and close them in bulk. No Dupe Tabs mode does this automatically on every tab switch.

URL Standardizer Define per-domain rules to strip query parameters, normalize paths, and canonicalize URLs at bookmark time. Keeps your library clean without manual editing.

Library Manager Search your full bookmark library, run find-and-replace on titles or URLs across thousands of bookmarks at once, and remove tags in bulk.

Media Saver Trigger a media download for the current page directly from the sidebar — saves videos and audio without leaving your workflow.

Everything is keyboard-accessible Folder search, slot shortcuts, Quick Sort toggle, undo, reopen, duplicate scan — all reachable by keyboard. Assign your own shortcuts in about:addons.

Is Mark&File Safe?

Risk impact

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Mark&File requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
