What is Chrome Timeline?

Chrome Timeline is a Chrome extension that syncs your web access history with Windows Timeline. By installing the extension and logging into your Microsoft account, your Chrome history is synced with Windows Timeline through your Microsoft account. The extension also includes features to exclude password forms and remove query strings from saved URLs.

ChromeのWebアクセス履歴をWindows TimelineのActivityと同期するアドオンです。このアドオンをインストールし、アドオンからMicrosoftアカウントにログインするとChromeの履歴がMicrosoftアカウントを通してWindows Timelineと同期されます。

とりあえず作ってみた感じなので、とりあえず動きますね。ということが確認できる程度の実装です。

1.3.0で次の機能を追加しました。

パスワードフォームが含まれている場合にActivityに保存しない
Activityに保存するURLからQueryStringを削除する

機能は素晴らしいが、実装メモリ(RAM)が4GB程度の少ない容量しか搭載していないノートPCや安物デスクトップパソコン(メモリ消費が最適化されているChromeBookは除く)はメモリ消費量に注意すべきです。これはChromeを起動した直後にすべてのタブページを同時に読み込む動作をします。よってタブの数を多く開いている人ほど起動時のメモリ消費量とCPUの負荷が大きくなるので注意が必要です。

Chromeを頻繁に使用しているユーザーにおすすめ。Chromeにもタブを保存する拡張機能は多々あるが、Windowsをメインで使うならこれが一番便利かも。
