BuildBox Firefox

BuildBox

By: Ev88
A compact toolbox to copy clean links, grab selections as code blocks, and navigate page headings on demand built for coders and makers.

Features & Capabilities

BuildBox gives you small, fast helpers for everyday work. Copy the current page as a Markdown link with one click, or copy a clean tracking-free URL. Turn the current selection into a fenced code block using your preferred language label from Options. When you need structure, load an on-demand outline of the page’s headings and jump to any section instantly. Nothing runs automatically on web pages: content access happens only when you click in the popup.

Under the hood, BuildBox keeps permissions lean. It uses activeTab to inject a one-off content script only after you choose a tool that needs the page, such as selection or outline. It uses tabs to read the active tab’s title and URL for link copying, storage to remember your defaults, and clipboardWrite to place text you request onto your clipboard. There are no inline scripts, no unsafe innerHTML, no remote resources, and no analytics. All code is bundled and self-hosted to satisfy AMO policies. Keyboard shortcuts are optional and can be added later if needed.

Is BuildBox Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

BuildBox requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

BuildBox may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
