Archive webpage with Archive Today

Features & Capabilities

Archive Page is a Chrome extension that adds a Windows toolbar button and context menus to archive or search the current page using Archive Today. When activated, it sends the page URL to Archive Today to create a snapshot and opens the result in a new tab. The extension also supports Android with a popup to choose Archive or Search and lets you bookmark archive URLs for easy reference, all over HTTPS for security.

Consent and privacy: By using this extension you consent to sharing your Archive or Search URL with Archive Today when initiated by you. If you do not consent, do not use the extension, which does not collect or share data otherwise. This extension is not affiliated with Archive Today. Note that Archive Today’s privacy policy discusses IP handling, and you may experience occasional DNS or service load issues; refer to the notes for troubleshooting.

User Reviews

Users praise Archive Page for being simple, reliable, and easy to use (notably via a right‑click option) and for helping access unavailable pages. The main repeated request is for more configurability — e.g., auto‑open domains or context‑menu options to reduce extra clicks.
Pros
  • Simple and reliable — many users report it “works” consistently.
  • Right-click/context-menu integration to open pages in archive.ph is easy and convenient.
  • Very useful for accessing unavailable or archived webpages; helps read content that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Cons
  • Limited configurability — multiple users asked for options like a configurable list of domains or context‑menu settings to automate/open by default.
