Features & Capabilities

Version 0.0.3 opens the new tab in the background

Version 0.0.4 substitutes the more limited permission activeTab for the broader tabs permission found in the preceding versions

Version 0.0.5 makes launching the archive page in the current tab the default action when you click the toolbar icon; with an option (right-click menu, 'Manage' -> 'Preferences' tab) to revert to the 'new background tab' action as before

Version 0.0.6 adds more preference options, allowing the right-click to optionally open the archive page for the link in the current tab, as well as allowing new tabs to open in the foreground as an option; shift-click temporarily inverts the new tab / current tab setting, ctrl-click temporarily inverts the foreground/background new tab setting; ctrl-shift-click temporarily inverts both

Is ArchiveClick Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

ArchiveClick does not require any sensitive permissions.
