User reviews

Users appreciate PDF Editor for its simplicity, usefulness in annotating and editing PDFs, and its value as a free, ad-free alternative for tasks like marking student work and editing lecture notes. Some issues noted include the highlighter making text dull, slightly awkward writing tools that use rectangle selection, and missing features like checkmarks and crosses to aid educators.
Pros
  • Simple and easy to use interface.
  • Useful for annotating and marking PDFs, especially beneficial for educators and students.
  • Allows quick editing of text and images in PDFs.
  • Free and ad-free, providing good value compared to paid tools like Adobe.
  • Includes useful features like drawing, signing, and note-taking directly on PDFs.
Cons
  • Highlighter tool makes the text look dull and harder to spot.
  • Writing tools can be awkward to use, requiring dragging rectangles rather than free brush strokes.
  • Lacks some desired features such as checkmarks and crosses in the toolbar for quick marking.

It's simple to use. But... The highlighter makes the text look a bit dull and harder to spot... :(

Seems to be a steal of Annotate PDF.

This is underrated. I'm a teacher and I use this for marking the online work from my students. Tried out a few but they limited you to a few documents a day unless you had a paid subscription. This was absolutely gold for me. Just one recommendation that I have - Could you please add checkmarks and crosses on the tool bar? It would really save us educators. Thank you!
