YouTube Time Limiter

YouTube Time Limiter helps manage YouTube viewing time with three flexible modes: daily or session timers, keyword-based limits, and Mix Mode combining both. Set global or individual keyword quotas, schedule allowed viewing hours, support work/rest sessions, and automatically block YouTube when limits or permitted hours are reached. Timers count only while videos are actively playing and work across videos, Shorts, background tabs, minimized players, and embedded players.

Designed for families and focused screen-time management, the add-on includes password-protected settings, local-only data storage, secure configuration import and export, confirmation prompts for sensitive actions, and customizable redirect behavior. The interface supports English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Polish, and Swedish, with remaining time shown in the toolbar icon and real-time controls available at a glance.
