Child Video Time Controller

The Child Video Controller extension provides robust tools to manage screen time by enforcing timed viewing and pause cycles on YouTube.

Key Features:

Multiple Modes: The extension cycles through four main modes to gradually decrease screen time or enforce long breaks:

Normal (Green): Standard run/pause cycle.

Doubled (Yellow): Longer run time or pause time, often used as a warning.

Blue Mode: Features a significantly longer pause duration.

Red (Stop) Mode: Enforces a long pause duration (default 6 hours).

White Mode: Allows continuous play, bypassing timers.

Customizable Timers: All run and pause durations for Green, Yellow, Blue, and Red modes are fully adjustable in seconds via the settings page.

Automatic Mode Switching: The extension can automatically transition between Green → Yellow → Blue → Red based on the total accumulated run time within each mode (e.g., Green lasts for 40 minutes, then switches to Yellow).

Child Lock Security: Prevents manual video playback (clicking the play button) when the extension has paused the video, requiring a customizable code to resume.

Stealth Mode: Option to hide all floating UI elements (buttons and timers) on the video page for less distraction. A temporary pop-up displays the mode when it is switched.

Browser Action: Clicking the extension icon in the toolbar directly opens the settings page .
