User Reviews

Users broadly praise this add-on for turning videos into a distraction-free, full-window theater view across YouTube and other sites, with generally reliable and easy operation. However, compatibility is not universal; some sites don’t detect or play videos, and a few experiences include cropping or layout issues. In some cases the plugin swaps in Firefox's video player, which can be suboptimal, and hotkeys may require focusing the player. Overall, it’s handy for a cleaner viewing experience but site-specific quirks can occur.
Pros
  • Delivers a distraction-free, full-window viewing experience by expanding the video to fill the browser window.
  • Works across multiple sites (YouTube, ESPN+, Twitter, Twitch) for a consistent theatre-like mode.
  • Generally reliable and easy to use; reviewers often say it "just works" or "works like a charm."
  • On YouTube, it avoids the site's own video chrome, giving consistent control.
Cons
  • Site compatibility is inconsistent; some sites fail to detect or play the video, or break embedded content.
  • On certain sites, the video display is cropped or uses screen real estate poorly unless in full window.
  • In some cases it replaces the site's video player with Firefox's generic player, which can feel inferior.
  • Keyboard hotkeys may not work unless you click the video to focus.
Recent reviews
As much as i appreciate this plugin as its basically the only way to fullscreen 16x9 content on an ultrawide without said content using up all of the screens realestate - there are frequent bugs with it whereby the volume slider resets itself to a previous state at seemingly random intervalls. its very frustrating and has caused damage to a pair of my headphones.

Works great for making YouTube look distraction-free, especially in a compact browser (Zen). It doesn't use the custom YouTube player chrome, but that's excusable.
