User Reviews

Users generally find Webtime Tracker simple and effective for seeing how they spend time online, with multiple reviewers saying it meets their needs. Major recurring complaints are a hidden/strict 3‑day free history limit (paywall), unreliable backup/restore and import that can cause data loss, and that competitors (notably Web Habit Builder) offer more free features.
Pros
  • Simple and useful — several users say it does exactly what they wanted (time tracking)
  • Gives insights about how time is spent online (many users report it helps them see browsing habits)
  • Generally positive/easy-to-use — multiple short reviews call it “exactly what I needed” or “best of best”
Cons
  • Free tier is limited — multiple users report detailed history is restricted to 3 days and you must pay for more (not clearly disclosed)
  • Backup/restore and import problems — users report lost data, restore failing or overwriting existing data, and inability to upload Chrome-exported data
  • Fewer free features than alternatives — several users point to Web Habit Builder as a better option with more free functionality

I agree with the below review by Fernando. I used to use this extension on Chrome, but recently switched to Firefox. I couldn't upload my downloaded data from Chrome. "Time Tracker - Web Habit Builder by zhy" is the way to go. Can accept data from Webtime Tracker and has way more free features

Cannot recommend this one, just lost all my data that I had backed up, tried to restore after and it simply does not work anymore. Restore functionality is very limited even when it works, it just overwrites all data, doesn't give any options to keep the current data or anything. Also only shows the history of the previous 3 days, if you want more you have to pay. There's a far better option: Web Habit Builder
