Web to AI Agent Firefox

Web to AI Agent

Capture DOM context from any webpage and send it to an AI agent via clipboard or supported webviews.

Features & Capabilities

Web to AI Agent helps developers, QA engineers, designers, and AI-assisted builders turn any webpage element into useful context for an AI tool.

Instead of manually copying page text, HTML, selectors, screenshots, environment details, and accessibility metadata, click the extension, select an element, and send a clean prompt to your preferred workflow.

What it captures

  • Page URL and title
  • A generated selector for the selected element
  • Selector diagnostics and candidate selectors
  • Element text and HTML
  • Optional surrounding HTML for deeper context
  • Optional cropped screenshot of the selected element
  • Shadow DOM and iframe context when available
  • Bug report details such as viewport, user agent, computed style summary, timestamp, and recent page console/error context
  • Accessibility context such as role, labels, ARIA attributes, focusability, contrast estimate, semantic ancestors, and related metadata
Capture modes
  • Quick capture: selected element plus basic page context
  • Full capture: includes surrounding parent/grandparent context
  • Bug report: adds environment, style, and console/error details for debugging UI issues
  • Accessibility: adds accessibility-focused metadata for audits and improvements
Prompt templates

Use built-in templates for common AI workflows, including:

  • General page context
  • Describe UI/component
  • Summarize content
  • Analyze DOM structure
  • Map interactions
  • Debug UI issue
  • Explain this component
  • Write Playwright test
  • Extract data
  • Content audit
  • Implementation notes
Templates can be customized or reset to their defaults.

Delivery options

Send generated context to:

  • Clipboard
  • CodeNomad
  • Open WebUI
  • AnythingLLM
  • A custom local AI tab
  • A custom deep link
  • A local HTTP endpoint
Local AI UI and endpoint delivery use optional permissions and are only requested when you enable those features.

Privacy

Web to AI Agent does not send captured page content to a remote server. Captured context is processed locally in your browser and delivered only through the option you choose: clipboard, local AI UI tab, custom deep link, or local HTTP endpoint.

The extension captures content only after you click the extension and select an element. It uses on-demand active-tab access instead of broad persistent website access.

Built for modern browser extension standards

  • No remote code
  • Optional permissions for local integrations
  • Designed for developer and AI-assisted workflows

Is Web to AI Agent Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Web to AI Agent requires very minimum permissions.
