VerbTeX is a free, collaborative LaTeX editor for Android. It lets you create and manage LaTeX projects on-device or in the cloud with offline PDF generation via Verbnox and online builds via Verbosus. It includes a full TeX Live distribution and supports PdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX, and LuaLaTeX, with BibTeX or Biber for bibliographies.

Two modes address different workflows: Local Mode stores documents on your device, while Cloud Mode syncs with Verbosus and enables real-time collaboration. Features include syntax highlighting, hotkeys, inverse search, autosave, Git/BibTeX integration, and support for multiple fonts and CJK text. Pro features add code completion and encrypted transmission; VerbTeX in Local Mode has no ads and no required account.
