User Reviews

The Braille Recognition app offers a promising concept for assisting visually impaired users and educators but suffers from significant flaws. Users consistently report poor accuracy in translations, app crashes, forced long ads disrupting workflow, and problematic user interface elements. While it shows potential in certain language recognitions like Russian, the overall negative experience prevents it from being reliably useful in its current state.
Pros
  • Innovative idea aimed at aiding visually impaired users.
  • Some success in image recognition for specific languages like Russian.
  • Helpful for educators to mark students' braille work faster.
Cons
  • App frequently crashes and is unstable.
  • Forced viewing of long ads before or after each translation attempt.
  • Poor accuracy in braille recognition and translation, often producing incorrect or gibberish results.
  • Requires account setup to use the app, which frustrates some users.
  • User interface issues such as cropping tool not functioning correctly and improper input mapping in braille keyboard.
Recent reviews
Horror end user experience rife with multiple annoying ads. I scanned one page and immediately deleted it. Awful.

Absolutely useless. First off their Ai thing is misconfigured so it suggests using a different Ai service instead of this one, secondly it didn't even try to scan and translate the image, it just said it didn't recognise any braille. Absolute trash
