Science-backed carb targets
FuelCast recommends carbohydrate intake based on your race duration, following evidence-based sports nutrition guidelines. Targets adjust automatically as your estimated finish time changes.

Variable-interval timing
Unlike fixed-interval calculators, FuelCast spaces your fuel based on the actual carb content of each item. A 40g gel needs more time before your next fuel point than a 22g one. The maths adjusts to what you're actually carrying.

Mix gels and real food freely
Choose from a pre-loaded database including Maurten, SiS, GU, Precision Fuel, High5, Lucozade, Torq, NeverSecond, and others, alongside real food options including bananas, Medjool dates, rice cakes, and jelly babies. Add your own items with a name and carb count.

Race course nutrition
For supported events, on-course nutrition stations are merged into your personal plan. You see what's available on course and how it fits around what you're carrying.

Caffeine strategy
Caffeinated gels are automatically placed in the final 40% of your race, where they deliver peak benefit when it matters most. Caffeine total is shown in mg and mg/kg bodyweight.

Hydration plan
Estimate your sweat rate from temperature and effort, or enter it directly. FuelCast calculates a fluid target and tells you when to drink water versus sports drink - and adds sports drink carbs to your plan total.

Cycling support
FuelCast supports both running and cycling, with sport-specific carb recommendations and separate sweat rate estimates that account for airflow cooling on the bike.
