Walking Bass Trainer

Walking Bass Trainer helps you build fast chord recognition.

Practice modes:
- Random: chords drawn from the keys and qualities you choose
- Key: practise chords within a specific key, with an optional secondary dominants setting for extra harmonic movement
- ii-V-I: drill the classic jazz turnaround

Live feedback as you play:
- The app listens through the microphone and lights up each tone of the chord as you play it - root, 3rd, 5th and 7th
- Every tone you hit shows how accurately you pitched it, in cents, so you can watch your intonation while you walk the line

Tuner:
- A built-in tuner for checking the instrument before you start, because intonation feedback is only worth having if the bass is in tune first

Keeping time:
- Set the tempo to match your practice speed
- Choose a metronome click or a real jazz drum loop
- Piano chord playback so you can hear the harmony you are walking over
