Falling Fruit is a nonprofit initiative based in Boulder, Colorado, offering a comprehensive global map of edible plants across thousands of cities. This collaborative platform aggregates user-submitted locations along with extensive datasets from the internet, combining efforts of foragers, foresters, and freegans worldwide. The map features thousands of plant species, ranging from common cultivated foods to exotic and native plants, encouraging exploration through diverse cultures and histories.

All proceeds from the Falling Fruit app sales contribute to maintaining the project’s servers, supporting its ongoing mission to provide accessible foraging resources. Falling Fruit is distinctly separate from Fallen Fruit, emphasizing its unique data collection and community-driven approach.
