TOR OMG Firefox

TOR OMG

Adds Onion Mirror Guidelines spec to help you identify phishing sites.

Features & Capabilities

This browser extension is designed to help users identify trusted TOR onion sites. With exceptionally long urls and commonly DDoS'ed sites it is important to have trusted mirrors for our onion sites. This extension implements the Onion Mirror Guidelines published by dark.fail as a means to reduce phishing. This extension will examine an onion site for /pgp.txt and /mirrors.txt, validate that /mirrors.txt was signed with /pgp.txt, that the site is in the mirrors list, and that the /pgp.txt key is trusted by the user.

Is TOR OMG Safe?

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

TOR OMG requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
