TickerPop Firefox

TickerPop

Highlight a ticker on any page to see the price, chart, fundamentals, analyst calls and news. Works with any market. No account.

Features & Capabilities

Someone drops a ticker in a Reddit thread or a newsletter and you have no idea what it is. I got tired of opening five tabs to find out, so I built this.

Highlight the ticker - NVDA, RELIANCE.NS, VTSAX, BRK.B, whatever - and a card shows up next to what you're reading:

• Live price and day change, with the company name and what it actually does • A chart from 1 day to all-time. Drag across it to measure any move - the exact %, prices and dates between two points. Switch to candlesticks, or expand it for volume and price gridlines. Weekends and closed hours don't leave gaps. • The fundamentals people actually check: P/E, forward P/E, EV/EBITDA, margins, 3-year growth rates, 52-week range • Analyst ratings, price targets, and the recent firm-by-firm calls (upgrades, downgrades, initiations) with dates • Insider buys and sells - listed, and marked right on the chart • EPS beat/miss record, next-quarter estimates, dividends, short interest • Headlines that are actually about the company, not keyword noise

Hover any label and it's explained in plain English. I wrote those explanations for a friend who kept asking what "forward P/E" meant.

Comparing a few stocks? Hit + and open them side by side - they stay in one panel you can drag around, reorder, or minimize into chips. The toolbar button opens a full-page dashboard that remembers what you were looking at, with your watchlist (live prices, sparklines) down the side.

Watchlist and alerts: star a stock, set above/below or day-move alerts, and get a heads-up when a watched company reports earnings. Alerts check while Firefox is open.

Works across markets - US, India, Korea, Japan, London, Toronto and more. RELIANCE resolves to the NSE listing, amounts show in ₹ crores and lakh crores, and headlines come from the company's home market. Stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, indices, crypto.

Works on Firefox for Android too: select a ticker and the card appears.

On privacy, plainly: the only thing looked up is the ticker you highlighted - never the page you're on. No account, no sign-up, no servers of mine; data goes straight from your browser to the market-data source. On Firefox, anonymous usage statistics are OFF unless you enable the data-sharing toggle in the add-on's settings in about:addons.

Free to use. Not investment advice - it shows public data so you can do your own research. Some exchanges are delayed 15–20 minutes.

Is TickerPop Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

TickerPop requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

TickerPop is recently added, and hasn't been around long enough for us to gather enough data to accurately assess its risk level.
