Tempo does one job quietly: it changes YouTube playback speed without opening a menu.

• Press ] to increase speed by 0.25×. • Press [ to decrease speed by 0.25×. • Press \ to reset speed to 1×. • Keep one preferred speed across videos, in-page YouTube navigation, and Firefox restarts. • See a brief inline speed indicator after each change.

Tempo ignores its shortcuts while you type in an editable field. Speeds are normalized to 0.25× steps and remain between 0.25× and 4×.

The saved speed stays in Firefox's local extension storage. Tempo has no accounts, telemetry, analytics, tracking, remote code, or network requests.
