Idk of it was my school's doing or not, but having to reset my password every semester and go through the processes of reactivating my account is an annoying hassel that I don't have time for while in school full time. It's also less secure then just having 1 password memorized for an extended period of time. Anyone in IT will tell you this because people are more likely to store their password in unsecured places to reminded them of it.
