TabLogger Firefox

TabLogger

By: ADAMJR Add-on
Auto-archive your Firefox tabs into one searchable log. Free up memory and your attention.

Features & Capabilities

TabLogger automatically archives tabs you haven't used in a while into one clean, searchable log - then closes them to free up memory and clear the clutter. Nothing is lost: every archived tab is one click away from being restored.

Set how long a tab can sit untouched before it's archived - down to the hour (e.g. 1 day 2 hours, or just 2 hours). On a schedule you control, TabLogger sweeps your windows and tucks stale tabs into its log, recording each tab's title, URL, favicon, and time.

The log, your way: Archived tabs are grouped by website first, then by date - both fully configurable. Search by title or URL, restore a single tab or a whole group at once, copy URLs, or export everything to JSON. A built-in dark/light theme keeps it easy on the eyes.

Stays out of your way: TabLogger never archives the tab you're looking at, pinned tabs, tabs playing audio, or any website on your personal allowlist - and it never closes a window's last tab.

Private by design: Everything stays on your device. TabLogger collects no data, sends nothing to any server, and uses no analytics or tracking. The archive and your settings live entirely in Firefox's local storage.

Free & open source: TabLogger is open source under the MPL 2.0 License. Browse the code, report issues, or contribute at https://github.com/theADAMJR/TabLogger.

Reclaim your memory and your focus - without ever losing a tab.

Is TabLogger Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

TabLogger requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
