Tabhunter provides fast, fuzzy searching and effective tab management (including an audio-only filter and bulk actions) for users with many tabs. However, its hotkey support is unreliable and not easily customizable, the UI is cramped and non-resizable, dark themes can make text hard to read, and some users report stability issues after Firefox updates.

Pros

Fast, fuzzy live search across many tabs.
Audio-only filter helps locate tabs producing sound quickly.
Bulk actions for cleanup (bulk close/delete).
Handles very large tab sets (hundreds) reliably.
Described as sophisticated/tab-inspector quality and a life-saver for heavy tab users.

Cons

Hotkeys/keyboard shortcuts don't work or can't be customized.
Ugly UI and poor UX: small/non-resizable window; not available as a sidebar.
Readability issues with dark themes due to hard-coded text colors.
Stability/compatibility problems after Firefox updates; some versions become unusable or require older builds.

Recent reviews

It's great. So far I've only used it to find one my 1000 tabs in 20 windows that is making no-longer-wanted sounds but it's worth it for that alone. I may start using it to find other tabs too. It causes no problems.

This extension has changed my life. First, being able to identify open tabs with audio playing after restoring a session! Second, quickly finding my tabs and tab groups! Giant time saver. Thank you!
