Tab Manager v2

By: xcv58
Search, group, move, and clean up tabs across browser windows with a keyboard-first workflow

Features & Capabilities

Tab Manager v2 turns crowded browser sessions into a searchable workspace. See every tab across every window, locate what you need fast, and move matching tabs in bulk. It supports native tab groups where available, so you can rename, recolor, collapse, or ungroup tabs directly in place.

Key features include search by title or URL (with optional history results), bulk actions to move, group, or close tabs, duplicate tab detection and cleanup, keyboard-first controls with shortcuts and a command palette, and customizable themes and layouts. It runs locally in your browser and is free and open source, with Firefox container-aware workflows when supported by the browser.

User Reviews

Had to revert back from the new 2.0.1 version. Granted I have multiple windows with a few thousand discarded tabs, which is still manageable. After the update, the interface dramatically slowed down, even affect speed of other addons likely due to much increased CPU, very delayed display painting in the manager window. Selecting and moving groups of tabs is slow. Lost darkened highlight of the active tab in a window, probably related to the not really needed lightened box background for each window. Didn't check if one annoying bug was fixed where selecting a tab in a tall list one jump the screen like there was an anchor point. Was too distracted by the negative changes. So, for now sticking to the previous version unless I hear of massive improvements, but this ain't it even though I very much would like to see improvements since I don't really like how other addons try to tackle the same features.
