SYNTEX Privacy Shield Firefox

SYNTEX Privacy Shield

Blocks trackers and strips browser fingerprinting headers so websites can't identify or profile you. Runs entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device. Free forever. Donations welcome.

Features & Capabilities

SYNTEX Privacy Shield v4.0 — rebuilt from the ground up.

WHAT IT DOES

Tracker Blocking
Blocks outright requests to known analytics and surveillance infrastructure: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, DoubleClick, Hotjar, Segment, Amplitude,
Mixpanel, FullStory, Intercom, LinkedIn Insights, Criteo, and more.

  • Fingerprint Header Stripping
  • Removes the browser fingerprinting headers sites use to identify you across
  • sessions — the entire sec-ch-ua-* family, x-client-data, sec-gpc, and others —
  • before they leave your device.
  • Traffic Pattern Obfuscation
  • Randomizes Accept-Language and Accept-Encoding values and shuffles header order on every request. Disrupts behavioral fingerprinting that tracks you by how your browser talks, not just what it says.
No fake data injection, no promises about being "undetectable," no premium tier. Privacy tools that over claim are security liabilities. This does what it says, nothing more.

PRIVACY
No telemetry. No analytics. No data collection. Everything runs locally in your browser. Source available at codeberg.org/SYNTEX/firefox_privacy_shield.

SUPPORT Free forever. If it's useful, donations keep development going — button is in the extension popup.

Works on Firefox desktop and Firefox for Android.
