Spaces Firefox

Spaces

By: Thovthe
Intuitive tab management. Spaces is a workspace manager for the browser. It treats each window as a unique space and lets you name and save each one. You can close a window full of tabs at any time and reopen it later continuing where you left off.

Features & Capabilities

Spaces keeps track of new tabs opened in each workspace and also tabs that you close. It also allows you to quickly move a tab that you are currently viewing into any other space whether it's open or closed. Great for when you find yourself opening a tab out of context with what you are currently working on and want to come back to it later.

Find you have 50+ tabs open? Do you abuse "Bookmark tabs..." for session management?

Spaces was developed to help users that tend to keep way too many tabs open. It encourages you to move tabs that are not immediately relevant into a different, more appropriate space - thus removing it from your current window. This keeps your browsing session manageable - both visually and from a memory perspective.

Isn't this essentially just bookmarks with folders? Yeah, pretty much - but you'll want to use it.

Features:

  • Each window is a space
  • Move tabs between spaces in an instant
  • Switch between spaces with ease
  • Per space history
  • Hotkeys for common tasks
  • Mouse or keyboard driven
  • Export and Import spaces individually or all together
  • Works on FireFox now!

Is Spaces Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Spaces requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
