SnipLingo lets you select any visible area of a web page, recognize text with local OCR, and translate the recognized text into Bulgarian, English, German, Spanish, or Russian.

Features:

Select text from images, videos, documents, and regular web pages.
OCR processing runs locally inside Firefox.
Screenshots are never uploaded.
Translation starts only after you click Translate.
Only the recognized text and selected target language are sent securely to the SnipLingo server and DeepL.
Copy recognized or translated text to the clipboard.
Start area selection from the toolbar or with Alt+Shift+S.

An internet connection is required only for translation. The first OCR scan may take up to one minute while the local OCR engine starts.
