Sidepocket Firefox

Sidepocket

Restyles pocket a little and makes it available in the sidebar.

Features & Capabilities

This is basically Pocket in Sidebar with some improvements. It removes some clutter from the reading list and makes it more compact, so you can see more items at a time. It also removes Pocket’s redirects and makes links open in new tabs instead of in the sidebar.

  • More compact reading list
  • No more annoying pills (“best of” etc.)
  • No more tracking redirects, only direct links
  • No more useless truncatation of domain/site title
Ideally I would like to have dedicated buttons for archive and delete. Maybe I’ll get to that later.

I’m open to suggestions.

Is Sidepocket Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Sidepocket requires very minimum permissions.
