Ask AI about the page you're viewing—right in the Firefox sidebar.

Sidekick AI follows the page in your active tab. Ask "Summarize this article" or "What does this page say about X?" without copying and pasting the text yourself.

Two ways to chat

API mode Chat in the sidebar with no provider API key required. Guest use is available; sign in with Google or Microsoft to keep credits on your account.

• Page title, URL, and extracted body are included automatically when you send a message
• Optional web search for up-to-date answers (uses credits)
• Optional image OCR: read up to 3 large images on the page, or paste images into the chat
• Models include OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Groq, Cerebras, Grok, Kimi, and DeepSeek
• On Basic and Pro you can optionally use your own [BYOK] so those calls use your provider account and are not charged as Sidekick credits. Keys stay on your device and are sent only with those requests

Web mode Embed the official web UIs for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Sign in with your existing account—no Sidekick API key required.

• Click Summarize page to copy the current page context to your clipboard
• Paste it into the chat input on the service you choose

Smart page reading

• Prefers main content areas (main, article, and similar regions)
• Filters navigation, ads, cookie banners, and other noise
• Supports open Shadow DOM, same-origin iframes, and slow-loading pages
• Select a page region (Alt+Shift+R) to use only that area as context
• Skips browser system pages (about:, moz-extension:, etc.)

Webmail support

• Reads the open message—not the whole mailbox UI—so you can analyze intent and draft a reply
• Supported services include Gmail, Outlook, Naver Mail, and Daum Mail

• Korean and English interface
• Up to 5 recent prompts and 5 favorites
• Markdown replies, one-click copy, save chat, and open an answer in a new window
• Undock the sidebar into a pop-up window
• Optional Desktop AI bridge (Windows): Claude Desktop and ChatGPT Codex can read the current tab via a local MCP bridge—page content stays on this computer

Privacy Settings and optional API keys are stored locally in Firefox. In API mode, your message and page context are sent to the Sidekick AI gateway, which forwards them to the model provider you selected. Full prompts are not stored as chat archives on our servers. Web mode data is handled by the embedded service under that service’s own policy.
