What It Does

AI Assistant Sidebar brings AI into your browser as a lightweight sidebar. No extra tabs, no third-party accounts, just a simple chat panel available on any page, powered by your chosen AI provider.

Chat with AI from a clean sidebar without leaving your current tab
Use your own API key
Supports OpenAI (GPT) and Google Gemini
Your API key is stored locally and sent only to your selected provider
Works with all Gecko-based browsers! (Firefox, LibreWolf, ZenBrowser, etc.)

Getting Started

Install the extension and open Options when prompted
Select your AI provider and paste in your API key. Don't have one? See how to get one free here.
Choose your preferred model and hit Save
Reload if needed — then start chatting from the sidebar on any page!

Privacy

Your API key never leaves your device except to communicate directly with your chosen AI provider. No data is collected, logged, or shared by this extension.
