Save sessions as bookmarks and access them across devices. Advanced Session Manager: edit, save, change, restore. It can also be your best Bookmark Manager

Features & Capabilities

Session Sync is a powerful Chrome extension designed to save and manage your browsing sessions by utilizing bookmarks. Unlike traditional session managers, it stores sessions as bookmarks, allowing seamless access, editing, and restoration across multiple devices using bookmark synchronization services like Firefox Sync or EverSync.

Key features include an intuitive user interface with multiple working modes (Panel, Tab View, Window View), advanced bookmark and session management, session filtering and sorting, lazy-loading session restore, customizable keyboard shortcuts, and advanced drag-and-drop UI. Session Sync also manages permissions efficiently, ensuring all your session data remains local or synced via your Firefox account. It is an excellent tool for users looking for versatile session and bookmark management that integrates directly with the browser's bookmark system rather than proprietary formats.

User Reviews

Users praise Session Sync as a simple, reliable session manager that syncs well and excels for research and large tab collections. Common complaints are missing features: no global title search, no multi‑selection of tabs, lack of automatic session saving, and no support for Firefox containers which can break restores.
Pros
  • Reliable and long‑lived — many users report it has worked for years and is their go‑to session tool.
  • Simple and easy to use — intuitive UI and fast workflow for saving and restoring groups of tabs.
  • Syncs across devices via Firefox/Mozilla Sync and lets you create collections of links for research.
  • Better session management than built‑in bookmarks/tabs — useful for research and large tab collections.
Cons
  • No global search by tab title (search is limited or awkward; Enter doesn’t always activate results).
  • No multi‑selection support (cannot shift‑select ranges of tabs or select many at once).
  • Does not auto‑save sessions by default (users expect automatic session saving).
  • Lacks Firefox container support — restored tabs can lose their container assignment and misbehave.

this has been an extremely useful tab saver, compared to the other extensions, this one was the best experience for me, easy and efficient, the only issue, which is a big one, is it doesn't have a global search by title, which is frustrating, you kinda have to remember where you saved the tabs, it also doesn't allow multi-selection, i'd love the option of selecting a tab and pressing shift and select the other tabs and all the tabs in between get selected as well, right now you have to select them manually, and lastly no sort by doman or subdomain
