MySessions Firefox

MySessions

By: CromS
A simple session manager. You can quickly save your current browser state and reload it whenever necessary. This is not a replacement for Michael Kraft's "Session Manager", but it allows you to import saved sessions from the "Session Manager".

Features & Capabilities

MySessions is a straightforward Chrome extension designed to efficiently save your browsing sessions by utilizing browser bookmarks as a reliable storage method. It allows you to quickly save your current tabs and reload them anytime you need, ensuring you never lose track of important browsing states.

This extension supports importing sessions from Michael Kraft's popular "Session Manager," making it easy to transition or back up your saved sessions. While it does not support Firefox-specific features like Multi-Account Containers or Tree Style Tab, it emphasizes data privacy—only accessing domains for tab icon display without collecting any sensitive information. MySessions offers optional permissions for backing up sessions to files and features a dark theme for user comfort. It's ideal for users who want a lightweight, dependable session keeper without cluttering their bookmarks search or requiring complex configurations.

User Reviews

MySessions is a useful session manager that saves/restores sessions and offers tab/pin management, and editing features. However, multiple reviews report significant reliability and UI issues: some users can’t save sessions, UI is buggy or hard to use, and there are security concerns regarding crypto-payment prompts and backup problems; export/backup workflows are not friendly. Overall, it’s functional for some, but buggy and risky for others.
Pros
  • Saves and autosaves sessions
  • Useful session management with editing capabilities
  • Tab management and pin control
Cons
  • Doesn't work at all; can't save any session and GUI is buggy
  • UI issues and poor usability: confusing icons, layout problems, and non-intuitive controls
  • Security concerns: updates asking for cryptocurrency payments and possible scam or hack risk
  • Backup/auto-save reliability problems: data can be out-of-date or backups disabled after updates
  • Export/backup flow is clunky and requires manual copy/paste
Recent reviews
Unacceptable behavior - Essential features disabled It used to be a great extension, but now the developer is intentionally disabling core features like Autosave to blackmail users for donations. Using emotional manipulation and breaking the app's functionality to demand money is unacceptable. We can easily live without this addon and we are moving to better, more reliable alternatives. Simply trash.
