Selectively remove cookies

A long time ago I had used the selectivecookiedelete add-on for Firefox. It was great but unfortunately has disappeared. This add-on, Selectively remove cookies, is similar but is extremely limited in what it can do compared to the former selectivecookiedelete. The good news - This add-on deletes cookies other than the ones in your whitelist. The bad news: • It defaults to an empty whitelist and thus instantly deletes all cookies. • It only deletes cookies when you click the icon on the toolbar. There is no option for example to delete the cookies every time you close or exit Firefox. • Figuring out how to configure the whitelist is not intuitive. As there is no documentation the steps are: 1) Right click on Selectively remove cookies in the list of add-ons and select Manage Extension 2) Click the [...] button in the upper-right corner and select Options • When you click on "Selectively remove cookies" it shows you a list of the cookies it deleted but there is no way to export the list or to load it into the copy/paste buffer. Thus there is no way to review the list to see if I should be adding some sites to the whitelist. If you click "Selectively remove cookies" again it shows you an empty list ad the cookies have been deleted. Thus, you get one look at the list and can't do a thing with it other than visually look it over and to make notes on a piece of paper. You need to write on paper because if you switch to another application the displayed list closes and you can't retrieve it. I suppose you could take a video with your phone and scroll through the list to retain a record. • This add-on does not know about LocalStorage. It used to be that cookies were the only way for web sites to save information on your computer. People got wise to this, started deleting cookies, and cookie managers such as Selectively remove cookies were written to give us more control over the information web sites were storing on our computers. Besides cookies, web browsers also allow sites to use something called LocalStorage which is similar to cookies.

Deleted all my important cookies when I went to configure it. AVOID. I'm going to need hours to fix the mess that idiotic thing caused.
