Pros
- Effectively replaces the original Scrapbook extension, allowing restoration and continued use of Scrapbook data.
- Can read ScrapBook X data and saves pages with high accuracy similar to ScrapBook X.
- Allows deleting or modifying elements before saving pages and attaching comments.
- Supports exporting saved pages as HTML.
- Multilingual support including Russian language.
Cons
- Setup can be complicated initially.
- The sidebar must be open to save pages, which some users find annoying.
- Lacks some ScrapBook features such as defining link depth in Advanced Save and the ability to show size of saved pages/folders.
- Issues with pictures not being saved properly in some cases.
- Backend has compatibility issues on some Linux systems due to GLIBC version mismatches requiring manual rebuild.
Recent reviews
It is a bit complicated to set up initially but it is the best replacement for the original Scapbook extension. I had been using it for years and had dozens of gigabytes of data saved, when Firefox changed making it unusable, I literally panicked. Thanks to this re-release, I was able to restore almost everything and the data collected has doubled. There is room for more improvement but, at this level is already very useful. Now there is talk of the end of the Firefox project(03/2025), if this were to happen, I hope it will be possible to port Scapbook / Scrapbee to another browser. I think I can say, also on behalf of all those who use it, that this extension is definitely among the 10 indispensable and most intelligent extensions ever designed, maybe even the 5! So thank you!

Thank you for the excellent add-on. It would be fine to have "Open saved page" button in progress dialog after page downloading - to check and clean result.

Extension safety
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk
impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of
damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your
personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they
do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
ScrapBee requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious.
This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on
Firefox Browser Add-ons, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been
around, and other signals about the
Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change
as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always
exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
ScrapBee is probably trust-worthy. Prefer other publishers if available. Exercise caution when installing this add-on.
