User reviews

Users appreciate 'Save Screenshot' as a simple, effective, and versatile extension for Firefox Android, offering good image quality and options like tagging captures with dates and auto-naming files. However, multiple users report issues with capturing full webpages and compatibility limitations on certain sites and content types like PDFs. While it surpasses other extensions in some areas, it lacks advanced features such as PDF creation. Overall, it remains a valuable tool pending Firefox's own screenshot offerings on Android.
Pros
  • Simple and versatile screenshot tool for Firefox, especially on Android.
  • Works better than similar screenshot extensions on Firefox for Android.
  • Allows capturing different parts of the page (full, viewport, selection) in multiple formats like PNG and JPEG.
  • Option to customize screenshots including adding timestamps and automatic naming.
  • Produces good image quality with manageable file size.
Cons
  • Fails to capture the entire webpage in 'full page' mode on some sites, only captures visible area.
  • Does not work on certain sites or content types, such as PDF previews and some specific websites.
  • Lacks advanced features like creating PDFs or more robust capture controls.
  • Some functionality seen as redundant compared to built-in screenshot capabilities on devices.
