Simple Screenshot Firefox

Simple Screenshot

By: Alanas
One click to capture any tab. Saves to your Downloads folder. No account.

Features & Capabilities

Simple Screenshot captures the current browser tab and saves it as a PNG to your Downloads folder. One click, one file. No account required. Nothing uploaded.

What it does: Click the toolbar icon, and the visible part of the current tab saves as screenshot-YYYY-MM-DD-HHmmss.png in your Downloads folder. A system notification confirms the save. Click the notification to reveal the file in your OS file browser. The popup offers two more capture modes: copy the visible tab to the clipboard, or scroll the entire page and stitch it into one tall image.

Features:

  • One-click capture of the visible tab to PNG in Downloads.
  • Copy-to-clipboard mode for pasting directly into chat, email, or docs.
  • Full-page scroll capture, with sticky-header neutralization and a 16,000 pixel safety cap.
  • Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S for capture without opening the popup.
  • Zero network calls. Source can be audited.

Is Simple Screenshot Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Simple Screenshot requires very minimum permissions.
