Save Tab URLs

Show, save and restore the page URLs along with page Titles of all opened tabs of current browser window. Show as copyable plaintext. Save and restore from text file.

Save Tab URLs is a powerful Chrome extension that allows users to efficiently manage their open browser tabs by displaying all URLs and page titles in a single, copyable plain text interface. With the simple click of the [ST] toolbar button, users can view all loaded tabs in the current window, save these lists to text files, copy them to the clipboard, or edit them before saving or reopening.

This extension also supports reopening saved URLs in bulk while skipping duplicates already open. It respects browser behavior by not interfering with how tabs are loaded and provides guidance for cases where tabs might require manual reloading for full functionality. Save Tab URLs is perfect for users who want quick and flexible control over their browsing session management without slowing down the browser startup process.

User reviews

Save Tab URLs is a straightforward, non-intrusive Firefox add-on that excels at saving all open tab URLs into a simple text file with full URLs and titles. It works well on desktop platforms but fails to perform as expected on Android. Users appreciate its simplicity and speed, though they note readability issues with Notepad formatting and desire additional features like opening saved URL lists or clipboard integration. Despite occasional issues with blank screens likely due to Firefox or system quirks, it remains a handy tool for managing tab URLs efficiently.
Pros
  • Allows saving all open tab URLs in a simple text file without extra features or bloat.
  • Fast and easy to use for copying URLs to emails or notepad.
  • Works on both desktop and laptop versions of Firefox.
  • Supports saving complete tab URLs including page titles.
  • Non-intrusive and simple to use over years.
Cons
  • On Android, it does not find or save any URLs despite claiming compatibility.
  • Saved URLs appear in one long line in Notepad, making them hard to read.
  • Lacks features such as an 'Open Clipboard' button and the ability to open sessions or URLs from saved text files.
  • No visual previews of tabs, only titles and URLs.
  • Some users experience the extension showing blank or not working, possibly due to Firefox bugs or user system issues.

Exactly what I'm looking for - a way to save URLs in a text file without all the bloat. I don't want bookmarks either, just a copy of the URLs saved on an external drive, a location that I choose. I can refer to them later for any given subject. Note: This saves all tabs in the current window, so if you want only certain tabs saved in the URL list, first move the tabs of which you want the URLs saved to the window in which you are going to save all the URLs. Only that window will be included in the list of URLs. Works great on Firefox running on a desktop PC or laptop.
